Nov. 3rd Fishing / Deer Hunting

The last coupld of weeks I’ve been deer hunting and it has been awesome. I was very luck and bagged two bucks that both had double split G 2’s.

Back to Fishing!

The bite yesterday was slow at first but we finished strong. We picked up a nice eater Walleye mixed in with the 20 Yellows we kept. This winter is going to be amazing. There will be a killer bite on Clear for Crappie and Yellows with a few Walleye mixed in and the bite on Boji will be fun. We are expecting lots of Perch and Walleye over that way. The guided ice fishing calls have been coming in and things are shaping up well. If your looking for a guided trip this winter give us a call. The Fall Is Still Going Strong

This fall has been a great time on the lake. With ice fishing coming soon we have been working on key locations for Crappie, Walleye, Perch and Yellow Bass. Halloween!

The fishing is great and we have availability.

Over the last few days the fishing has really been good. We has been landing some beautiful Panfish and a occasional Walleye. The Walleye bite should really start to pick up soon with the cooler temps approaching. We have many open spots right now mostly weekdays but we do have a few weekend spots open over the next few weeks. If your looking for a fun bite with a good number of catching then I would recommend giving us a call. 50 to 100 fish days are not uncommon in the fall and it make a perfect trip for the whole family.

The fishing has been awesome. Piles of Yellows along with a Walleye or two. The Muskie bite is starting to pick up again with the cooler waters approaching. Ice fishing is right around the corner and we are booking many trips. If your thinking about doing a ice fishing adventure this winter please give us a call. During the winter we target Crappie, Gills, Perch, Walleye, Pike and Yellow Bass. We also have a new Wheel house for rent that will sleep 4 on the ice.

The bite was great last weekend! 6-7-15

The Walleye bite on Clear Lake continued to be great last weekend. The morning bite was much better for us than the evening but both were good. We caught most of the fish on jigs and or slip bobbers.
I have a couple 4 hr spots open in the next few days otherwise we are full until the 29th of June. We are starting to do Muskie trips now and we are also doing some trips on Crystal Lake. The fishing on Crystal is awesome! Crystal is all about panfish, large mouth and Walleye. We have many open spots after the 4th of July. Feel free to call if you have more questions. It’s GOOD!

The fishing has really picked up! Walleye and Crappie have been in pretty good numbers and the sizes have been great also. Walleye have been caught on jig and a minnow and the crappie are also being caught on minnows or tube jigs. Over the next couple of weeks I have plenty of availability. Spring is right around the corner!

With the warmer weather coming we can only think about spring Walleye and Crappie fishing. I have been booking some trips over the last month and I can’t wait to get the boat out. Tomorrow I’m filming another segment of Fishing the Midwest Bob Jensen. We will be targeting Crappie and Yellow Bass on Clear Lake. I just want to say thank you to everyone for all the support its much appreciated. Fishing over the last few days has been good. East Lake was great on Saturday Morning we caught Perch and Yellows and after 11 am we moved to Minni. for some more panfish action. I did get out on Clear today and the Yellows and Crappie are still going good. The Yellows are on Fire!!

Its Cold Out!

The cold snap has had a impact on the bite but we are still finding some good gills and crappie. Tomorrow I take off to Rapid City to fish with some boys from the Rapid City Boys Club. (Hooked On Hard Water Event) This is the most rewarding event I do all year. There is nothing like taking some under privileged kids out ice fishing and truly giving them an opportunity to experience some pretty cool things.

The team will be out with clients all weekend around Clear Lake and I’ll post some reports Monday or Tuesday. I will also be posting my report when I get home. Thanks again for following along everyone!

BIG WEEKEND AT CLEAR LAKE

This weekend is the 3rd annual Yellow Bass Bonanza Ice Fishing Tournament. This year we have 254 teams and we are giving over $25k in cash and prizes. If your around Clear Lake this weekend please feel free to stop by Macintosh state park at 1pm for the weigh in.

Fishing Report – The fishing has been fantastic over the last week. We have been catching Crappie, Gills, and Yellow Bass out on Clear Lake. Most of the fish are being caught in 14fow or less. Crystal lake is slow but they are still catching some limits of gills. The Walleyes are being caught during low light hours on Clear but its a hit or miss on the keepers. Look for Walleyes on the rock reefs.

Great Fishing Right Now!! This year has been crazy good!

The fishing over the last few days have been cold but the fishing has been very good. Okoboji is kicking out some nice limits of Perch and Clear and Crystal are doing well with Crappie Gills and Yellows. Clear has been best in 16 to 24 fow small jigs with pink plastics has been best. Okoboji Waxies and spikes have been good in 18 to 24 fow. The ice on is 8 to 12 across north iowa.
